Homemade Pasta

Love pasta and traditional Italian dishes? We will take a step back in time to “old school” Italian Cuisine. Try your hand at creating different approaches to making homemade pasta and other Italian favorites! Don't forget, great cooking is about more than just recipes - it's about techniques! These classes have you working together in a fun, hands-on environment. Fun classes for a date-night out or an evening together with friends. Class size will be small to give more individualized instruction. Early registration is strongly suggested.

Join us in making linguini and spaghetti, from the dough on up. You will never buy boxed again! Fun and easy to make for the whole family.

Students aged 16 and up are welcome to register for these classes when a parent or guardian is also registered and attends the same class.

A few days before class, students will be sent a supply list of ingredients to bring with them from the instructor.

Gain Energy & Lose Weight

Get ready to learn a holistic approach to balancing your metabolism for increased energy and decreased body fat! In this class we will discuss the relationship between diet, blood sugar, and insulin control in maintaining a healthy body composition and steady energy levels. You will learn factors that contribute to symptoms of blood sugar imbalances, how stress contributes to unhealthy weight gain, and how to set up a diet and lifestyle plan to reduce stress and support blood sugar stability. Most of the class will focus on how to build balanced meals that support healthy blood sugar levels and reduce sugar cravings. There will be time for you to ask questions and you will receive handouts to take with you to help you implement these suggestions at home!

Students aged 16 and up are welcome to register when a parent or guardian is also registered and attends the same class.

Understanding Annuities

What are annuities? Why do people invest in them? What kinds of guarantees can they provide? What different kinds of annuities are available? What are the pros and cons of owning them? What role can they play for retirees or those approaching retirement?  Together, we will explore these questions and more in this education-only presentation.

This class is FREE, prior registration is required.

Introduction to Ceramic Hand Building

It’s time to get your hands dirty! A fun class learning the basics to hand building ceramic! We will go over building methods of both coil and slab building. From there, you will dig into the clay to build your very own creation!  After class, each piece will be fired and glazed for you, and will be ready in apx. three weeks.

Students aged 14 and up are welcome to register for this class when a parent/guardian is also registered and attending the same class.

A supply fee of $25 per person is due and payable to the instructor the day of class.

Finished project pick up dates/times at the district with the instructor are: For the 9/26 class is 10/17. For the 10/17 class 11/7. Pick up times for all dates are 5:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

Zumba

Zumba classes are high calorie dance parties, a total body workout! Known as “exercise in disguise.” we combine all elements of fitness, cardio, muscle toning, balance and flexibility. You will leave class with boosted energy and feeling incredible! Zumba is for everyone and everybody. All fitness levels welcome. There is a wide variety of music, so come out and join the party! Please wear sneakers and bring a water bottle to class. 

Students aged 14 and up are welcome to register for this class when a parent or guardian is also registered and attends the same class.

Three Halloween Crafts in Three Hours!

Get ready to design several spooky creations this Halloween season! We will be drilling, painting and gluing three awesome Halloween projects. All the painted crafts will be sealed with an outdoor safe sealer to be displayed outside. Your home will be the envy of the neighborhood. You will create wooden painted pumpkins, a Mason jar lite up ghost, and large tree “scary eyes.” Students please bring a glue gun with glue sticks, two paint brushes 1”-2”, scissors, and pencil. Please wear clothes you can get pain on.

Students aged 10 and up are welcome to register when a parent or guardian is also registered and attends the same class.

A supply fee of $20 per person is due and payable to the instructor the day of class.

Thunder Gourd Instrument Crafting Workshop

Unleash your creativity and delve into the world of indigenous musical instruments with our Thunder Gourd Instrument Crafting Workshop. This hands-on course offers participants the unique opportunity to learn the art of crafting and playing the thunder gourd, a percussion instrument with roots in Native American culture. Participants will be guided in every step of the thunder gourd crafting process, understanding the process for cleaning, preparing, and carving the gourd. Then it’s time for the hands-on experience with staining, painting, assembling, and decorating this distinctive instrument. In addition to the practical aspects of crafting, students will explore the cultural significance and history of the thunder gourd within Native American traditions. Discussions will cover its ceremonial use, symbolism, and role in indigenous music, providing valuable context and appreciation for the instrument’s heritage. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have crafted their own unique thunder gourd, imbued with personal flair and cultural resonance. Whether you’re a seasoned musician, a craft enthusiast, or simply curious about indigenous culture, this workshop offers a rewarding journey into the world of the thunder gourd. A variety of gourds will be available to select from. Gourds have been cleaned, sanded, cut, sealed inside, and pre-drilled. All supplies needed to create your thunder gourd will be provided. Students are welcome to bring their own embellishments such as stones, beads, gems, etc., if desired. Participants are encouraged to bring an apron or wear clothing suitable for staining/painting. Note: Gourds vary in size, shape, texture, color, and are subject to participant’s creativity.

Unicorn Magic
