Post-pandemic travel will soon be here so get a jump on planning with some budget friendly tips when you’re ready to explore again!  We will be discussing best dates to buy tickets, cheapest days to fly and underrated European cities to visit on a dime. Students will receive an organized list of all websites and apps discussed in the course. This course will be offered in-person and virtually, choose the date with the option you’re most comfortable with!

Students aged 14 and up are welcome to register for this class when a parent/guardian is also registered and attends the same class.

Learn all the fundamentals of a winning essay as well as proven strategies. You will begin to write the college application essay during the class and leave with a confidence and knowledge to complete the process on your own.

Beginner Beekeeping- Live Online

Come and join the “King Bee” of WNY honey producers for this second-to-none, comprehensive beginners’ class on beekeeping. This class is designed in a series of weekly online (live presentation) workshop topics that cover a wide range of information to get you started on your new hobby.

This series is for people who range from just starting out, to those who have had bees for years and are looking for more information on topics like the cycle of annual hive death. We will cover choosing equipment, where to get bees, how to locate a place for your hives, bee biology, nectar plants, feeding, supering, swarming, fall management, winter prep, basic disease and pest ID and management, and hive products. At the conclusion of the course, there will be an optional bee yard visit in the spring. Time and location TBA.

Students will build a strong foundation in computational and solution-oriented thinking by creating fun animations, engaging stories and interactive games with Scratch. Scratch is a visual, drag and drop coding platform built by MIT, specifically for young students who are just getting started with programming.

This course is intended for elementary-school students with no or inconsistent exposure to block based programming like Scratch or Code.org and want a more structured program. It is also ideal for absolute beginners. This is an interactive, LIVE class taught by an instructor in real-time (not recorded videos). It is a small group class of 6-8 students with ample opportunity for individual attention and group work. It’s an engaging, effective and convenient way to learn.
