Emphasis will include vocabulary of organs and body systems, hospital terminology, diseases and conditions, pertinent questions about medical history, and how to give simple commands such as when performing a physical exam.

This course will cover the following topics: Basic signs (alphabet, numbers, question words, survival signs, and more!), facial expression, sentence structure, Deaf Culture, etc.

This course is ideal for anyone interested in learning a new language, family members or friends of Deaf individuals, professionals working in healthcare, education, or customer service, and community members seeking to build more inclusive communication skills. 

Our goal? To bridge the gap between the Deaf and hearing worlds.

Students 14 and older are welcome to attend this class when a parent or guardian is also registered and attends the same class.
