Painted Textured Art Glass for Beginners: Sunflower & Fall Trees- Nature Inspired

Love the look of beautiful colored glass pieces in your window?  In this class learn to make painted, stained, textured, glass artwork that will be displayed in your windows and “wow” friends. Your art work can be simple or as complex as you want it to be. The goal of the class is to teach basic painting on glass, layering paint, and adding texture. Students will learn how to copy a pattern on to the art piece, and color it with different types of glass paint. You will also be taught how to work with the tools and several of the techniques of glass art. Learn how to blend colors for an original work and template patterns for a beautiful springtime peace. Join us for one or more of the creative classes, showcasing nature! Each student will take home the two projects listed for each class.

A supply fee of $25 per person is due and payable to the instructor the day of class.

Perimenopause Support

Many women deal with debilitating symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, increased belly fat, poor memory, loss of sex drive, difficulty sleeping, and PMS in the years leading up to menopause. The good news is that there are dietary and lifestyle modifications women can implement to support their hormones and reduce their perimenopause symptoms. This class will cover what causes perimenopause symptoms and some of the diet and lifestyle factors that can affect symptom severity. You will walk away with a better understanding of what is going on in your body during these tumultuous years and how to naturally support yourself through diet and lifestyle.

 

Spellbound Cookies

On this Hunter’s Moon, come and cast a spell for what you need-whether love, prosperity, protection or simply happiness. Your almond crescent cookie creations will be filled with zest, herbs, and spices of your choosing like: nutmeg, cinnamon, rosemary, or orange. You will then shape the crescents, bake, and cover them in “moon dust” or powdered sugar. Keep for yourself or share with a friend that may need some cookie magic in their life. Each participant will leave with at least a dozen cookies- two different flavor sets are possible. We look forward to baking some magic with you!  *Nut allergy warning-all cookies contain almonds.  Instructor will contact students prior to class with list of utensils to bring.

Students aged 16 and up are welcome to register for this class with a parent/guardian that is also registered and attending the same class.

Meet Your Spirit Guides: Two-Part Lecture - Discussion - Meditation

Class meets twice. October 17 & 19 th

Acknowledging our higher power allows us to experience life in a much happier and more fulfilling way. Our Spirit Guides have a very important job. Spirit Guides help us to stay on our life’s path. In turn we grow, making it easier to connect with our higher self. The ability to recognize and understand when our Guides are communicating with us, is essential for our own personal growth and the ability to help ourselves and others. This workshop will consist of two sessions.

Part 1 – Lecture & Discussion: You will learn how to identify who your Spirit Guides are, how to connect with each of them individually, and the different ways they communicate with you.

Part 2 – Meditation: Learn what it means to meditate and how it can help you to connect with your Spirit Guides.

Simple techniques will be taught and practiced through guided group meditation. Please dress comfortably. You will need a pen and notebook to take notes. You may also bring a pillow and/or blanket to use for meditation.

Students aged 16 and up are welcome to register for this class when a parent or guardian is also registered and attends the same class.

Pretzel Palooza

Just in time for Octoberfest! Wow your family and friends with homemade pretzels and pretzelrolls this fall. Learn about using quick rise yeast doughs and how quickly you can whip up thesewonderful treats. In this class you will learn all the steps from mixing to shaping your pretzelsand rolls. Find out why boiling your soft pretzel dough before baking is so important to achievethat classic taste, we all know and love. In addition, you will learn to make a savory Bavariancheese dip, sweet cream cheese and honey mustard for your delicious pretzels! Each studentwill leave class with six pretzel rolls and six soft pretzels and two ounces of each dip.

Students aged 14 and up are welcome to register when a parent or guardian is also registeredand attends the same class.

Magical Pumpkin Gourd Tea Light

Unleash your inner artist and let’s craft some pumpkin magic together! Whether you’re decorating for Halloween or fall, this charming pumpkin tea light will make a fabulous addition to your collection! In this craft class, you will create one large pumpkin tea light and one small pumpkin gourd decoration. You will assemble, stain, paint, and decorate your unique jack-o-lanterns. We’ll share some fun gourd facts as you personalize your pumpkin gourds. In addition, you will receive live gourd seeds suitable for planting. The larger pumpkin is approximately 4-1/2 inches in diameter, and the smaller is approximately 2 inches in diameter. Size does not include embellishments. Gourds have been cleaned, sanded, cut, and pre-drilled. All supplies will be provided. A variety of items will be available to decorate with. Participants are encouraged to bring an apron or wear clothing suitable for staining/painting.

Fall Landscape Watercolor

Have you ever wondered how artists achieve some of the most awesome outcomes in a watercolor painting? Come join us for this easy, enjoyable Saturday morning paint class and find out! This class is designed for a beginner who wants to learn more about painting with watercolors. This class will include everything needed to create a beautiful 8x10 painting on premium watercolor paper. In addition, you’ll be able to complete a painting you will be proud to show your family and friends. The paints being supplied are artist quality Winsor and Newton and Daniel Smith. Any paints leftover on your tray are yours to take home to practice with.

Students aged 14 and up are welcome to register for this class when a parent/guardian is also registered and attends the same class.

A supply fee of $10 is due and payable to the instructor at the beginning of class.

Dressed Up Caramel Apples

Learn how to make dressed up caramel apples, equally beautiful and delicious! In this class, you will be making caramel from scratch and learn tips and tricks to get your caramel to adhere perfectly to a delicious local apple. Choose from a variety of toppings and coatings to adorn your delicious creations! Each student will bring home four dressed up caramel apples.
